As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and licensed mental health therapist, I have completed extensive specialized education, clinical training, and supervised sex therapy practice. I help individuals and couples navigate concerns related to intimacy, sexuality, and relationships with compassion and expertise.
Through talk therapy, I:
My goal is to help clients reconnect with their bodies, their partners, and themselves—building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Supporting individuals and couples in healing after trauma, betrayal, or pregnancy-related intimacy shifts. Addressing psychological and emotional barriers to intimacy, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship distress. Using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness Practices, to help clients improve their sexual well-being. Educating clients on healthy communication, body awareness, and emotional intimacy to enhance their sexual relationships.
An sex therapist is NOT a medical doctor or sex surrogate, and they do not engage in any physical or sexual contact with clients. Specifically: Not a medical provider: While sex therapists can address psychological and emotional aspects of sexual health, they do not prescribe medication or perform medical procedures. However, they may collaborate with doctors, urologists, or gynecologists when needed.
Not a surrogate partner: A sex therapist does not engage in any form of physical intimacy or sexual activity with clients. Their work is strictly therapeutic and based on conversation, education, and behavioral strategies.
Not a quick-fix solution: Sex therapy is a process that involves emotional healing, self-awareness, and open communication, rather than instant solutions.
Not just about sex: While sex therapists help with sexual concerns, their work often extends to relationship dynamics, trust-building, emotional connection, and self-confidence.
Sex therapy is about empowerment, education, and emotional healing, helping individuals and couples feel more connected and fulfilled in their intimate lives.
