  • Intimacy Reimaged

Sexual trauma profoundly impacts how individuals experience intimacy, desire, pleasure, and connection. Survivors may respond through shutdown, urgency, dissociation, or silence, not as dysfunction, but as adaptive survival strategies shaped by the nervous system.

This 2-hour continuing education training offers a trauma-informed, attachment-based framework for understanding intimacy after sexual trauma. Participants will explore how shame and silence disrupt connection, how consent restores agency, and how self-compassion and pleasure support resilience and healing.

Using the Touch • Talk • Trust® framework, this course equips clinicians and sexuality professionals with practical, ethical strategies to support clients in moving from survival-based intimacy patterns toward safer, more flexible, and embodied connection.

This training emphasizes choice, pacing, consent, and nervous system safety, making it appropriate for trauma-impacted individuals and couples.
